Biography
Chris was raised and educated in Mississippi and his family has lived in Mississippi for over six generations. He and his wife have been blessed with four children. As a father of four, Chris definitely has a vested interest in the future of Mississippi, which is a major factor in his bid for the Senate. Chris strongly believes that families are the key to a strong Mississippi! It is time to elect leaders who are pro-family and who recognize the importance of legislation that strengthens our families.
After college, Chris joined the Recreational Vehicle Industry. In 1994 he had a very successful start and quickly climbed the business ladder when he helped in opening a new RV dealership in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The business quickly climbed to one of the fastest growing in Tennessee. In 1994 the Lord opened the door for Chris to come back home to Mississippi where he is presently owner and manager of Aberdeen RV Center located on Highway 8 in Monroe County, which was the old Camper’s World. Under his leadership, and with the Lord’s blessings, Chris grew the business to the top ranked dealer in 2002. In 2000 he joined into a partnership that opened another dealership in Sherman, Mississippi, which is one of the fastest growing dealers in Mississippi. Being a business owner has given Chris the experience in balancing a budget and operating within his means, and has given him the knowledge needed to help Mississippi grow and to use your tax dollars wisely. The money in the state treasury is not the legislature’s to spend as they please, but it is the people’s money and should be treated as such. It is time to put common sense back into government spending.
Chris is also very active in church. He is a founding member of the Aberdeen Primitive Baptist Church, has served as its treasurer since 1997, and is very active in managing and organizing youth activities. Chris also had the honor of serving on the mission field last year in east Africa where he ministered to the spiritual and physical needs of the people. His commitment to serving has been demonstrated in his service to the Lord’s work. He will take his oath of office seriously, and he realizes that with public office comes the obligation to be a servant of the people. Chris strongly believes that it is time to put GOD back into our government.
Chris is experienced and dedicated to the future of Mississippi. He has a vested interest and will fight to make our state a better place in which to live and raise a family. He will work to attract economic development, which will provide good jobs for our children and grandchildren and will encourage them to stay in Mississippi.
